We are....

ALL DONE WITH OUR HOMESTUDY!!!!!!!!!!!

(that's all, just had to share.) Huge thank you's to all the staff at Forever Families Adoption Services of Virginia, who could not have been better to work with.

Support for Another Family

Many of you will remember 'Garnet' listed on RR & The Blessing of Verity. I *just* became aware of a family who is in the process of adopting her!! Praise God Who places the fatherless in families.

Check out the family's blog at http://iamtheresurrectionandthelife.blogspot.com (Sorry, blogger is fighting me tooth & nail on the link function.)

Her new name will be Anastacia <3 <3 <3

Tonight it's

SNOWING!!!

(This is further evidence that gives away the fact that I am not actually *from* here, lol!) Sarah and I stood in our jammies looking out on the deck and enjoying the tiny flakes floating down. Freezing. Crossing my fingers for enough accumulation for Mr. P. to hafta work from home tomorrow, but not so much as to impact my passport appointment visit. (Only been trying to get that beastie taken care of since, oh, before THANKSGIVING!!!!

We were blessed with 4 new photos and a video clip of Princess P. Not at liberty to share them publicly (sorry y'all) but I can not even begin to tell you how this cheered our hearts! God truly does give us the desires of our hearts, as these came out of a clear blue sky, hadn't asked, hadn't expected them. God is good, all the time!

Sleep tight & drive safe tomorrow morning!

Field Trip!

Sorry, I've again been rather quiet! Probably like more than 1 or 2 of you, I was breathless awaiting updates on some recent travelers to the far away land of B. And no, I have no new news to share! Patience, patience, patience....if I repeat it enough, perhaps I'll apply it.

Conveniently to distract me, we are enjoying a long holiday weekend trip. VA honours both MLK JR day on Monday AND Lee-Jackson day on the preceeding Friday. It was once all one holiday, but apparently that was tacky. (I am so going to get spam comments for that, relax....I say 'y'all' like a native, but I am *actually* a Yankee! {shhhh, don't tell!} Plus there's a really good chance it was simply to optimize a 3 day weekend into 4!)

Moving on!

We had 4 days to occupy & 4 tickets to the Creation Museum in Petersburg KY. We've never been and heard it chatted up a bunch, so we loaded up the Great White Hype on Thursday and headed west. It's been a ball! In addition to the CM, we also went to the Cincinnati Zoo, and discovered icons of Americana like White Castle (I'd never been to a real one, and the real thing is superior to the microwavable micro burger. And those aren't bad) and a BIG BOY, semi-big BIG BOY statue in front and all! The only thing I haven't found in Kentukey is a Starbucks....I saw a highway sign claiming there was one off exit 180, but despite actively searching (for like 20 minutes) none was to be found. Almost no greater love hath this than a husband drives in lengthy circles looking for an elusive 5-bucks for his java craving wife ;-p We were also blessed to visit a church nearly 220 years old, with the kindest and most welcoming of congreations you could ever want to meet. <3 So we drive back home tomorrow, and once I am caught up on laundry, I will post some fun pictures! Off to call it a night, as we have this plan to be on the road before noon 9.

Added a little something fun

Our Reece's Rainbow FSP button is finally arrived & I got it loaded!! (the later being, perhaps, more remarkable than the former, given my complete lack of technological capabilities...)

We have begun school after our winter break. We school year 'round, so our big break is basically from Thanksgiving to New Years. It is H.A.R.D to get back in the swing, but I am glad to get the household back into a normal, productive routine. I need to revisit my schedule a la Large Family Logistics to block my afternoons. While I like, and have cherry picked amongst several scheduling/time management tools (flyLady, MOTH, etc) LFL had been the best fit. I'll attribute it to the fact that Kim Brenneman & her husband farm. She speaks my language, even as I chill on my suburban faux-farm ^_^

Thank you all for your continued prayer for the Musser & Sutton families. Our second homestudy meeting went well (and we discovered a way yummy bakery in Warrenton!) Two down, one to go!!! As Mr. P. cheerfully announced in Sunday School yesterday, 'we're just about out of the first trimester!' I feel the nausea lifting :roll eyes here:

Well, laundry beckons and I hear a lot of chatter than sound unrelated to any history lesson assigned...

...And let us run with endurance the race that is set before us Hebrews 12:1b (NKJV)

Lift them in Prayer

Just a *very* short post with three prayer requests.

  1. & 2. Please lift Susanna and Mandy up in prayer as they both prepare to travel to Penny's home country this weekend! They will be traveling to separate orphanages, Susanna on her first visit to see Tommy (read more about his story here) and Mandy to pick up Benjamin and bring him HOME! Please pray for safety, travel mercies, and for the Light of Christ Jesus to show through them to every person they encounter on the way. Also, please lift Susanna specifically for healing of her ankle.
  2. Please remember us in prayer today during our second of 3 home study visits.

And A Praise------Joe & Susanna are FULLY FUNDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Praise God who provides, abundantly beyond what we can think or imagine!
