In Remembrance

As you may have heard, the Winslow's precious daughter, Zoey, whom they'd just visited in December, and had celebrated her 7th birthday, passed away yesterday.

I think my emotions ran the gamut of from shock to dismay, to quite honestly, anger.

Why?

Why, Lord, why? Her family was just there. They were trying, working as fast as possible to bring her home.  As though I have any right to question the sovereignty of the Lord of all creation.

But He is a God of mercy. God who heals (Jehovah-Rophe.) And He chose the bless this child, with the briefest, sweetest touch of love, the physical love of a mother and father, and then with eternal healing and the love of the Father for all eternity.

I think the lyrics of this song, by Matthew West, put this in prospective. He loves her more.

I love you more than the sun
And the stars that I taught how to shine
You are mine, and you shine for me too
I love you yesterday and today
And tomorrow, I'll say it again and again
I love you more

Glenn, Mary, and family, please know you are lifted in our prayers. I pray that you will feel God's healing on your hearts, and rest in knowing, He loves you, and Zoey, more that you can imagine.
