Yeah, so still not keeping up! :)

So, since I have last posted......well, the littlest zinger is now 5 months old!!! Time flies. I have taken and passed my NP boards and finally received my FNP license from the state of Virginia. So, perhaps a real NP job might even be in my future!

The garden is growing, plants and weeds. I have about 10#'s of wax beans that need canning (Uh, honey.....) and I have gotten 3 nice eggplants and a few yellow cherry tomatoes. Other things (namely peppers) are in the almost there stage. Can't wait.
We traveled to Pennsylvania the beginning of the month to celebrate my brother's high school graduation! Go Mackey! On the way home we stopped at Gettysburg and took the kids around to see a few of the monuments. Here's a classic shot of how spontaneous zinger family photos usually look-either someone is crying (and we have a few of those) or else someone is looking elsewhere! Left to right we have: Momma holding J., T. (in the stroller looking the wrong way), I., N., and S.
Well, it's time to get a nap before work. Hope all is well with you & yours!

Overdue posts

Wow, so I have been negligent in posting. Yes we did FINALLY have that baby. He is 1 month old today. On January 12th at 4:08 AM we were blessed with J. M. 9lbs even and 21 inches long. Lots of dark hair and a good sleeper. :) The kids are in love, as are Mom and Dad, and we are adjusting to our new life as a party of 7. Among the priority learning needs is getting everyone buckled into the van (which seats 7 technically, but by the skin of your teeth!) without losing fingers in the process.
In other news, I have filed to take my NP exam and should be doing that in the next 2-3 months. In the interim, I have started working as clinical faculty at a local community college teaching 1st year RN students. Pretty humbling when one considers the responsibilities. Entertaining too, but that is a different post! Our weather has been beautiful, and we are currently enjoying mid 60's, lots of sun, and 40 mph winds. So all the bed sheets are ON THE LINE to dry today!
I will try to get some new photos up soon!
